Overview (A Little About Me)I am a full time police officer and have been so for 11 years. For the most part I like what I do- there are of course days that are more difficult than others. I started training in the early 90’s and competed for the first time in 1992. The moment I stepped on stage I loved it. As an amateur I have won numerous state titles and 2 national fitness titles, I have represented Australia on 3 occasions at world amateur titles in Europe and South America. I received my Pro card in 2004 and have been competing in the USA on the IFBB Fitness Circuit ever since. 2005 was my most successful year placing inside the top 10 in 3 shows.
In 2007 I completed my certificate IV in personal training and started my own business Fit Ambition. I love what I do and being apart of the fitness industry, so having the chance to share that knowledge is very exciting. In 2007 I also began working with Jo Rogers of Style on Stage, holding competition workshops/seminars to help competitor’s present the best possible package on stage. Jo and I have over 30 years competitive experience between us and believe we can make a difference to whether you win or place.
I am currenlty involved in promoting Jen Hendershott’s PHAT CAMPS which have been coming to Australia since 2005. I love Jen’s enthusiasm for fitness and life and love helping to spread the fitness word through Phat Camp.
Through all of my endeavours the one constant has been the unwavering support of my husband Matt and my son Bailey. Without them I would not be who I am and could not achieve what I have.
InterestsTraining and any outdoor fitness activity. I love eating out, reading and spending time with friends and family. Training History (Years, Location, Trainer)Training since 1991- started in Newcastle. Currently at Empire Fitness I have never really had a trainer. Training Schedule (Training Style and Tips)I spent the first 12 years or so training like a “bodybuilder”, lifting heavy to build up mass and shape. But since meeting and training with Jen Hendershott, I embarked on a quicker, more intense style of training which calls for much less weight and a quicker tempo. Nutrition (Examples of My Diet)Comp time –
- Oats and egg whites.
- Chicken, tuna with lots of green salad or green fibrous veggies. I don’t eat rice and generally keep my carbs to a minimum and in the AM.
- I allow a cheat once per week providing I have been strict during the week. I try not to go over board but it’s good for my sanity. (and Matt’s as well)

My biggest goal is to have a Female Pro Show in Australia by 2009.
I also want to pass on my knowledge to girls who are just starting out and help them be the best they can be!

Best Advice (Fitness, Health and Training)Be true to yourself. Set small personal goals that you can achieve and re-assess regularly.
