"Winners never quit, Quitters never win!(Scotto)
Life is a challenge, Meet it!(Mother Theresa)
"You only see obstacles when you loose sight of the Goal line"! (Vince Lombardi)" Overview (A Little About Me)First and foremost I am a Mum to 3 beautiful daughters Tyla-Eve 8, Emillee who is our Foster child age 4 and Isabella Grace age 2 years. My husband and I also care for my 21 year old Brother who is mentally disabled...That’s the easy Job! My husband Scott is in the Army also, However I just recently discharged from the Regular Army to the army reserves after spending nine years in the Army as a Transport driver or a “Truckie”. I was also a Combat Fitness leader and trained soldiers in regular units and also at the Defence Force Correctional Establishment at Holsworthy Barracks from 2002- 2006. Whilst at that unit I received an Australian Day Defence Medal for my efforts in physically training detainees and soldiers at my unit. I am also a fully qualified civilian Personal Trainer. I also run an outdoor boot camp class at Club Fitness Nelson Bay RSL and run a few circuit classes as well. However, I have just recently transferred from the Army reserves in June this year 2007 into the RAAF as a Physical Training Instructor (PTI). InterestsI love training myself and pushing military and civilian personnel outside there comfort zones...Training hard makes everything else in life feel easy! I love to be in shape and my favourite part is being in control of who I am, how I feel and what I look like. It’s also rewarding when you’re given a nice compliment for all your hard work! I also love seeing my girl’s develop physically and mentally...I am so proud when they give training or sport ago, it builds character. Favourites (Food, Bodyparts, People)What is myr favourite healthy meal? Steamed chicken and veges such as sweet potatoes and steamed pumpkin.
My favourite not-so-healthy food? Choc chip muffins.....Yummy!
My fave exercise at the gym is doing Chest and Back exercises as I am really strong in these area’s. I love to do leg’s just as much..It’s too tough too choose!
I love the body when it is symmetrical and hard!!! Big is not what count’s...It’s the ability to have an athletic physique with a strong ability in Fitness to back it up!
My training and role models are anyone! Whenever I see someone out training or exercising it motivates me so much! However I love too see women with strong physiques, not over the top physique’s but toned feminine strong bodies’.
Motivations (What Motivates Me)I am motivated to take on each day and challenge myself both physically and mentally...When I think I’ve got it tough I stop and think that there are people out there who have lost something that I still have! No matter what you’re going through someone will be worse off than you! Training History (Years, Location, Trainer) I am my own trainer and have always been, until May 2006 I’d done all my training from home, but I now train at the Nelson Bay RSL (Club Fitness) where I also work. I do alot of reading to try and figure out what works and what doesn’t. Listening to people who have been there before and trying to learn from their mistakes is also something I try and do. I have been active since school and was a state x country runner and soccer player. I really got stuck into weight training after the birth of my first daughter in 2000. Training Schedule (Training Style and Tips)When I am not preparing for competition’s it not so intense and consists of an easy program that allows at least 5 day’s of cardio and 5 days of resistance and I even give myself a day off:
* Monday – 30 min Hill sprints + weights (Leg’s)
* Tuesday – 40 Min Run+ weights (Chest and Back)
* Wednesday –5KM Hard Run =Weight’s (Shoulder’s and Arm’s)
* Thursday – Interval Training2.4km-5km-Sprints + Pump circuit
* Friday – Weight’s –Leg’s
* Saturday – Run –Long slow distance 60 mins
* Sunday – Body Weight Circuit-Pushups, Chin-ups, Explosive exercises.
The best training or health advice that I can give is Train hard when you can and Rest when you need it! And always listen to your body!

Competition History• Australian Defence Force Bodybuilding championships sponsored by the INBA 2003 1st place in Short class Figure and 1st in the overall in my very first competition.
• Australian Defence Force Bodybuilding championships in 2004 1st place in Short class Figure and overall.
• INBA Sydney Titles which where held in July 2004, 1ST place in the short Figure category and got best routine in that contest.
• INBA All female fitness classic 2004 placed 4th in the Tall figure and got best routine.
• INBA NSW Titles and placed 2nd in the short figure class and best routine.
Unfortunately in January 2005, I was diagnosed with keinbock’s disease where the lunate bone in my wrist had collapsed and I lost all range of movement in my hand and wrist. This injury put a short stop to my competition preparations so I took the year off in 2005 and decided to have a baby. December brought the birth of my second daughter and I had itchy feet and got stuck back into the training two days after her birth. I hit it hard and all the pregnancy weight fell off. So I entered the Sydney titles in May 2006.
• May 2006 ANB Sydney titles 1st in short figure class and took out the overall Figure Champion that night.
• ANB Australian Titles October 2006 3rd place short Figure.
• INBA NSW Figure Tittles October 2007 Open-1st Place and
• ANB Australian Titles 2nd place Short Figure
Goals (Future Plans and Career Expectations)What is your biggest hope for the future? Firstly as Mum...I want my Girl’s to most importantly to follow their dreams and also live healthy active lives. Secondly that I can inspire at least one person to get out there and give it ago! I know I have achieved success already by motivating my clients, friends and family but the more people I inspire the more successful I feel my life has been.
And finally, I know I am fairly new to the Bodybuilding/Figure scene but I really want to get an Australian title up my sleeve. I know one day I will and I am prepared to work hard for it, the years I have competed have taught me so much already so I look forward to the years ahead.
Media Coverage (Calendars, Magazines and Newspapers)Fit Mum's section April/May edition 2008. Best Advice (Fitness, Health and Training)What advice would you like to give other people who want to transform their bodies and lives?
It all start’s with you! You only have one shot at this title, being your life!
