"The harder I train, The luckier I get!" Overview (A Little About Me)I have been playing American Football for almost 14 years and the thing I enjoy most about it is the direct relationship the sport has with speed, strength and power. I play Linebacker and have the odd run at Full Back on Offense. My training background is predominately power based with a focus on sports specific movements. I love going into battle against other teams and leading by example to bring the best out in my own teammates. Gridiron can be quite technical alot like chess albeit full contact human chess with pads and a helmet so there really is no holding back! InterestsFishing, most sports, strength training, family time. Favourites (Food, Bodyparts, People)Roast Chicken, Mangoes and bananas, most foods really, Motivations (What Motivates Me)My wife and daughter they are my most vocal fans..and critics. Success on the field for my team. Training History (Years, Location, Trainer)I first stepped into the gym when I was 15 learning basic power lifting techniques, I soon became hooked and have been into strength training ever since. I finished my Cert IV in fitness in 2002 and began training others specialising in strength sports like league, union and gridiron. I am a big fan of the Westside programs and also Joe DeFranco's use of these techniques with athletes.
Training Schedule (Training Style and Tips)Mostly sport specific training with the good old majors thrown in for measurement. Core training and after recent injury I have a renewed love of flexiblity training and stretching. Nutrition (Examples of My Diet)Cereal and fruit or eggs most mornings, Grilled steak or chicken and salad sandwhich on brown bread for lunch and grilled lean meat and steamed veges or stir fry most nights. A bit of grazing on fruit during the day also. Competition History2002 - 2007 Browns Plains Bears, coach Phil Crick.

Defensive MVP: 2003, 2006,
Team Defensive MVP: 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007,

Supplements UsedAfter meeting Matt at the ASN GC stores I have opened my eyes to a world of advanced supplements including FUBAR's, Vaso-charge, Gunpowder, Energize and Anabolic Window. After playing 4 games in 6 days during the recent Australian Gridiron national championships I found the advice and products Matt recomended made me able to sustain top performance throughout the week. Vaso-charge and the Fubars kept me amped pre and during game which peaked with being named QLD's MVP. The entire Sundevil 2008 team also used the Gunpowder and Energize products throughout the week enabling faster hydration during the games and rapid recovery afterwards.
