Overview (A Little About Me)I started my sporting life & training as a rugby league player & retired at the old age of 26 due to too many injuries. After a 2 year lay off from training I got sick of being so large & did a fat loss challenge with a PT who was competing in bodybuilding, the fantastic results during this inspired me to give body building a shot. InterestsI enjoy weight training, boxing & watching rugby league, cricket & most other sports. Favourites (Food, Bodyparts, People)Food: I am partial to a quality Pizza I prefer Pizza capers & also luv my doughnuts. Both I eat in moderation during the off season. I also enjoy Kangaroo steaks & Snags which I eat all year round.
Body Parts: Back & legs
Motivations (What Motivates Me)Seeing the results of my hard work when I look in the mirror makes me want to work harder & achieve more. Training History (Years, Location, Trainer)I trained for rugby league from the age of 14 until I retired at 25. I started weight training in year 11 where I was part of a Talented Sports Program, this training was run by strength & conditioning coaches from the Canberra Raiders & gave me a great knowledge of weight training & the importance of good technique. My body building specific training started in Jan 2008 under the guidance of Tony Hebrard & his team at Zenergy Group. I also train with my wife Kristy @ Goodlife Chermside & Fortitude Valley. Training Schedule (Training Style and Tips)My current program splits upper body & lower body each twice a week with 1 day being a Max effort (1rm’s, Negatives & off the rack) & the other being a Dynamic effort working higher reps @ a slightly lower intensity.
This method is used by many power lifters & is designed to gain strength as quickly as possible while still growing muscle mass
Cardio Schedule
I am currently doing 2-3 cardio sessions a week I mix this up between long slow distance & high intensity interval style sessions.
Nutrition (Examples of My Diet)I eat 7 times a day & keep it clean with 1 meal off a week in the off season.
I eat lots of fruit & veg, brown rice, wholemeal pasta & wholemeal bead for carbs.
My protein comes from lean meat (roo, chicken breast, lean cuts of beef) and I get my fats from flax oil, almonds, avocados &natural peanut butter.
Competition History2008

INBA Qld Titles Intermediate 5th
INBA Australian Titles Intermediate 5th

Goals (Future Plans and Career Expectations)Short term goal is to build lean muscle over the next 9 months & to compete in the INBA Natural Olympia on the Gold Coast in 2009. My long term goal is to win an Overall Australian title by the time I’m 35yrs old. Best Advice (Fitness, Health and Training)Everybody is different, experiment & find what works for you. Also get advice from a PT, use & abuse them for their knowledge while also doing your own research. Supplements UsedAM Fast Whey with breakfast & Fusion Zeus
Daytime Shake Slow Whey + glutamine
Pre work out either Primaforce Primal N2O or Evolve Creabolic Extreme when I don’t want the caffeine (I have tried many others but like these the best)
During Work out: Nutrabolics Growth Factor or Scivation Extend
Post Work out Anabolic Window
PM Nocturnal & Zeus
During Lean down period I also used Evolve titrated L-Carnitine twice a day, Fusion SubQ twice a day & Species Testolyze 3 times a day (the Sub Q & Testolyze really are the business, I only used the stack for 5 weeks this year & the results were amazing) I have also tried many other thermos before getting advice from ASN & wasted a lot of money on stuff that does not work.
