Weightloss and Body Sculpting

Unwanted rolls, jiggly bits here and there, love handles that spread from the back to the front. Sigh! It always seems so much easier to put on then it is take to off, doesn't it? In a world where super thin is "in", how can the average person feel like they are able to meet "the standard"? (whatever that may be).

From Atkins, to Zone, to Ketogenic, to low-fat, low-sugar, Vegan, Vegetarian. Argh! Are you ready to pull your hair out? Which diet plan is right for who? How does it work? How long will it take to lose weight? So many questions, so many answers and all of them take time to work - of which most of us don't feel we have. Check out these great nutrition tips.

You know what?? Forget thin! Being fit and feeling healthy is the new "IN" thing.

Realistically weight-loss takes time and most importantly it takes consistency. This means that whatever eating plan you choose, however you choose to exercise and train, you MUST do it consistently over a minimum of 12-16 weeks. This is so you have a starting point for the body and once adaptation starts to occur (for most around the 6-8 week mark) you can then gauge weight-loss and muscle definition at a more accurate rate.

That doesn't mean that after 16 weeks you make a break for it and return to old die-hard habits. When the results start to roll-in whether they are small steps or leaping bounds, this is where you need to knuckle down and change up the routine.

Try changing your training program slightly and introduce some additional nutrition and supplementation. If you're not already on a protein shake post-workout (after exercise) - THEN YOU SHOULD BE!! This will speed up weight-loss by helping your body maintain lean body mass which in turn = more calories burnt at rest.
